Rye Town Park Pride Celebration!
Come celebrate Pride with us!
The celebration begins at 4:30 on Saturday June 1st. This year we are adding a Pop Up Art Fair curated by Rye Arts Center, as well as an afterparty on the beach geared towards teens and families that will be catered by Barley Beach House. And similar to last year we will again have a Pride Fair with tables and activities from local organizations (Rye Youth Council, RyeACT, Rye Free Reading Room, WJCS Center Lane, and many more!) as well as the Pride Flag raising ceremony and Parade along the Playland Boardwalk.

2023 "Love is Love" Mural
This mural was created by a group of middle and high school students under the guiadance of art teacher and mural artist Donna Wundeler. It was unveiled at Rye Town Park's Pride Celebration in June 2023 and is currently on display at Crawford Park. The students explored theme like underneath our skin we are all the same, the impact of book banning, and the digitlization of communication.
Special thank you to ArtsWestchester for their support of this project.
2022 Change Makers Mural
2022's Youth Led Community Mural is entitled Change Makers, and shows 11 leaders of the LGBTQ+ Movement including Senator Tammy Baker, Marsha P. Johnson and Billy Porter. We are beyond impressed with the 25 students who created this idea and executed it so beautifully under the guidance of art director Donna Wundeler.
Thank you to Rye Town Park, Crawford Park and Lyons Park. The mural is currently being shown at St Luke's Church.
