Register NOW for the 2025 Student Pride Mural Project
pRYEde is embarking on its 4th Student Led Pride Mural project. All interested students are invited to join this project. Students will come together via zoom to brainstorm a mural concept, then with the guidance of art advisor Donna Wundeler will sketch and paint a large scale outdoor mural. The mural will be unveiled at Rye Town Park's annual Pride Celebration in June 2025 and will move to various public spaces to share and celebrate Pride.
Brainstorming for the project begins the week of Jan 21, and painting will take place at the Rye Arts Center mid February until mid March. We know students are busy - you can join us for as much or as little time as you have available.

pRYEde's Mission Statement
pRYEde Community Group (“pRYEde”) seeks to advocate locally for equity and inclusion; celebrate the diversity of Rye and the greater community; engage in educational programming; and strengthen sense of belonging for all, especially for those who hold minoritized identities. pRYEde began with a focus on supporting Rye’s LGBTQIA+ community members, and has broadened its focus to include the multitude of minority identity groups as defined by race, ethnicity, nationality, language, religion, disability status, and beyond.
Through partnerships with established Rye organizations and stakeholders, pRYEde Community Group will work to develop and promote diverse, inclusive, and equitable programming and events in Rye. We stand with the goal to make ALL groups and individuals feel heard and supported. pRYEde Community Group is guided by “3 C’s” - Communication, Collaboration, and Community building. The ongoing achievement of these objectives will lead to a greater sense of safety within Rye where ALL have the space to thrive. We firmly believe that the opportunity to engage with difference - for youth and adults alike - leads to greater empathy, understanding and kindness.
